September 13, 2018 Section 110:1-3 Kirtland temple dedication, Temples, Personal Revelation My Most Treasured Experience, Prayers Answered, Veil Seeing Through It, Another Child?, Family History, Memories This section was written in the days just after the dedication of the Kirtland Temple. The saints had been holding meetings in the temple daily since the dedication. This revelation was received Sunday, April 3 1836. There was a large congregation of 1000 members in the church. After hearing several speakers, the Twelve passed the sacrament. After that Joseph states: “ I retired to the pulpit, the veils being dropped, and bowed myself, with Oliver Cowdery, in solemn and silent prayer. September 5, 2018 - September 6, 2018 Section 109:15-59 Temple Promises & Possibilities, Kirtland Temple Dedication, A great list I found in the student manual (271): In this dedicatory prayer, Prophet Joseph Smith asked the Lord that the Saints receive the blessings promised to them in (some promises from this section and some from revelations already given): 1.      That God’s glory would rest upon His people and upon the Kirtland Temple (D&C109:12-13) (But that will happen when we take advantage of BEING in the temple, and that includes not just our bodies, but our minds and our hearts and our spirits.
