November 26, 2018 Section 124:49-55 Commandments Purpose Of, Obedience Blessings Of, Lord as Our Mentor, The saints have been forced to leave Jackson County Missouri and the Lord explains the how he sees what they have done: v’s 49 & 51 “ Verily, verily, I say unto you, that when I give a commandment to any of the sons of men to do a work unto my name, and those sons of men go with all their might and with all they have to perform that work and cease not their diligence, and their enemies come upon them and hinder them from performing that work, behold, it behooveth me to require that work no more at the hands of those sons of men, but to accept of their offering.      Therefore, for this cause have I accepted the offerings of those whom I commanded to build up a city and a house unto my name in Jackson County, Missouri, and were hindered by their enemies, saith the Lord your God.” We are blessed for our desires, our genuine efforts, ...

February 11, 2018 Section 84:42-120 Missionary Promises, Keep the Commandments, Obedience Blessings Of, Heavenly Father reminds us to keep his commandments & to ‘ give diligent heed to the words of eternal life ’(v43) And then He reminds us of His promises: “ and even I have given heavenly hosts and mine angels charge concerning you.” He reinforces this in v 88 “ …I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up.” He has always given this promise to His children who follow Him: Psalms 91:9,11,15, 16 “ Because thou has made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, my habitation…For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all they ways….He shall call upon me, and I will answer him….With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.” He then gives wonderful promises to His missionaries: V 61: “For I will forgi...
