July 26, 2018 Section 105:26-41 Law of Consecration, United Order, Charity, Draw Near Unto Me, Seeing Others as the Lord Sees Them, Spiritual Growth, Patience, Endurance, Keeping Our Goal In Sight, As I read v 28 & 29, it suddenly struck me at the economy of the Lord’s language, of his ability to say so much in so few words. He is speaking of how to proceed with the growth and settlement of Jackson County, and this is given AFTER many of the saints have been forced from their home, and after the Lord has explained where and how they failed to live up to the law of consecration “ And to have sent wise men, to fulfil that which I have commanded concerning the purchasing of all the lands in Jackson county that can be purchased, and in the adjoining counties round about.    For it is my will that these lands should be purchased; and after they are purchased that my saints should possess them according to the laws of consecration which I have given.” ...

July 20, 2018 Section 104:11-52 Earth’s Resources, Population Explosion, United Order, Progress Both Physical and Spiritual, V 14 resolves the debates over population explosion: “ For the earth is full, and there is enough and to spare; yea, I prepared all things, and have given unto the children of men to be agents unto themselves.” There ARE problems all over the world of distribution. The Lord solves this problem very easily. Those who have, help those who have not. Then we all work together to create the most wonderful environment we can. This can be accomplished only when we act in compassion, charity, unselfishness, and in response to spiritual promptings. April 23, 2018 Section 92:1-2 United Order, Order of Enoch, Lively Members, Peace, Comfort, Sorrow, Trials, Growth, If I understand the timing here, this section was given 1 year and 1 month after section 82. In that section, the saints were trying to live the United Order, but there were those who did not comply and lived selfishly among the saints. But in verses 11-12 of section 82, the leaders had been commanded to live the Order of Enoch and be examples to the rest of the saints on how to live the law of consecration. Those leaders were Joseph Smith, Oliver Cowdery, Martin Harries, Sidney Rigdon, Newel K Whitney and a few others. There were to unite their temporal interests under the rule of the Order of Enoch. Now, in Section 92 Frederick G. Williams—who is now one of the 2 counselors to Joseph Smith is being commanded to join the Order of Enoch. January 27, 2018 Section 78:10, 17-22 United Order, Satan’s Tactics, Law of Consecration, Spiritual Growth, Line upon Line, God’s Love, God’s Name, Christ’s Name, Adam-ondi-Ahman, I don’t know how I missed v 10 yesterday! Here the Lord is giving the saints a higher law—one that will bring more joy and blessings to all, but at the same time, will be a growth challenge for the saints. The Lord gives a broad explanation of the law, He tells them why he is instituting the law, He tells them the blessing that will come from following this law [13 behold, this is the preparation wherewith I prepare you, and the foundation, and the ensample which I give unto you, whereby you may accomplish the commandments which are given you….15.
