(see history of the church, 5:xxix)I March 1843 he spoke to William Clayton of eternal marriage. July 26, 2018 Section 105:26-41 Law of Consecration, United Order, Charity, Draw Near Unto Me, Seeing Others as the Lord Sees Them, Spiritual Growth, Patience, Endurance, Keeping Our Goal In Sight, As I read v 28 & 29, it suddenly struck me at the economy of the Lord’s language, of his ability to say so much in so few words. He is speaking of how to proceed with the growth and settlement of Jackson County, and this is given AFTER many of the saints have been forced from their home, and after the Lord has explained where and how they failed to live up to the law of consecration “ And to have sent wise men, to fulfil that which I have commanded concerning the purchasing of all the lands in Jackson county that can be purchased, and in the adjoining counties round about.    For it is my will that these lands should be purchased; and after they are purchased that my saints should possess them according to the laws of consecration which I have given.” ...

February 26, 2018 Section 88:1-5 Desires of our Hearts, Holy Ghost, Peace Spiritual Peace, Service, Growth, Spiritual Growth, This section was given during a 2-day conference in Kirtland where Joseph and 9 high priests had gathered to know what the Church should do “ in view of the critical times that have been predicted.” Joseph referred to this section as “ …the ‘Olive Leaf’ which we have plucked from the Tree of Paradise, the Lord’s message of peace to us” In V’s 1-5 Christ tells them that by “ assembling yourselves together to receive his will concerning you: Behold this is pleasing unto your Lord, and the angels rejoice over you; the alms of your prayers have come up into the ears of the Lord…” The Lord waits for us to come unto Him.
