June 22, 2018 Section 101:1-16 Lord’s Jewels, Be Still and Know that I am God, Diversity, Traits to Avoid, Mistakes & Misdeeds, Joy in this Life, Joy Eternal, Obedience, Priorities, Lord's Priorities, Service, I love verse 3 when the Lord speaks about his second coming, and all those who will be His, “ in that day when I shall come to ake up my jewels.” I read that and think of all the beautiful jewels I see—in every color, every cut, every style—they are all different, all beautiful, all desired—just like people. In the Church there is not just one single type of jewel, but all are desired and admired. That’s how we should act toward all others. In v’s 6-8 he explains why he had to get their attention: “ 6.   Behold, I say unto you, there were jarrings, contentions, and envyings, and strifes, ad lustful and covetous desires among them; thereby they poluted their inheritances. 7. April 20, 2018 Section 90:18-37 House of Order, Cleanliness Next to Godliness, Priorities, Commandments Encapsulated, Charity Calls For Wisdom and Spirit, Handmaid, Peace Does Not Mean Idleness, Be Actively Engaged, Ha! V 18 is perfect for this morning. I already told Bob that I absolutely have to get the shower floor scrubbed clean today…this month there has only been time to scrub the toilet … and that was done only because I was worried about siting down on it . “Set in order your houses; keep slothfulness and uncleanness far from you.” It’s busy on this mission. I am learning to order my work, but I must also pay attention to keep order in my house. And probably even more important to give time to Bob and me together. January 13, 2018 Section 77:1 Book of Revelations, Sanctification the final?, Priorities, Fill the Measure of Our Creation, Key is Small only Unlocks the Path, Sea of Glass, End of the Earth?, Joseph Smith’s Translation of the Bible, Before I even begin to study section 77, I was impressed as I read the section heading. Joseph is back to translating! He has so many to-do’s and demands, but he continually returns to the task the Lord has asked of him: to provide a more accurate translation of the Bible we use today. This section was written as Joseph continued to work on the translation of the Scriptures. It was while he was working in the Book of Revelations that he read verses he did not understand, and so he enquired of the Lord. This section contains his answers. The Smith and Sjodahl Commentary (p 478) states: “ The Book of Revelation is one of the grandest books in sacred literature, and the Lord clearly designs that the Saints should become familiar with it.
