March 1, 2018 Section 88:14-16 Soul of Man, SOS, Resurrection, Redemption, Sacrament Ponders, Earth’s Purpose, I love reading the synopsis of the section. For v’s 14-16 it says “ The resurrection comes through redemption”— that phrase in itself is a grand lesson! V 14 states a truth that I believe with all my heart and mind: “ through the redemption which is made for you is brought to pass the resurrection of the dead” On Sundays during the sacrament I find myself settling in to mostly ponder the atonement, and how I do and should access it, and my gratitude for that amazing and wonderful gift of love. But then I listen as they pronounce the blessing on the bread, and I realize I need to be much more consciously grateful for the gift of resurrection that I, too often, just accept as a fact of life. The older I get, the more reason I see to be more grateful, and express that gratitude. V 15 defines the word soul: “ and the spirit and the body are...
