Section 88: 103-126
Millennium, Christ’s Second Coming, Faith, Learning, Growth, Perfection, Christ as our Champion..He champions us!,

These verses describe the events leading up to the millennium. They speak of people of every degree of faith, and those who have no faith at all, and those who are striving to live good lives, and those who have lived—and continue to live—evil lives. This is a time when all our deeds, desires and intentions will be make public. If I am there, I do not think I will worry that I am not perfect. But I hope that no matter my age or health, that I will be trying to draw closer to Heavenly Father every day, to somehow give service and love every day, and to be able to see my flaws and weaknesses as opportunities to grow—every day. I love v 108 that states “…the saints shall be filled with his glory”.

And then v 114 tells us about the last war that will be fought between good and evil—between light and darkness. There will be huge numbers of people on both sides. Orson Pratt said of this time: Those who join Satan and his host “Those who join Satan and his host will “not rebel in ignorance or dwindle in unbelief, as the Lamanites did; but they will sin willfully against the law of heaven,…”

That verse gives me great comfort as I think of our children who have left the church. For they are good and loving souls, and I feel sure they will be able one again, to see the Lord’s hand in all the world, and most especially within their own lives and thoughts. I so look forward to that time when their hearts and minds shall open once again, and they will be able to SEE and to FEEL the full power of their loving Father who has loved them forever.

V 108 always gives me hope: “And as all have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith” And then he gets more specific: 123-126: “See that ye love one another; cease to be covetous…cease to find fault one with another; clothe ourselves with the bond of charity…pray always, that ye many not faint …and receive you unto myself.”  He knows we are not perfect. He tells us exactly what to work on and what to work for, and then he assures us that he will ‘receive you unto myself’. He is our cheerleader…not part of the opposing team. That’s just it—He’s always on our side, and if we pray for it, he can be AT our side when we need that.
