Section 101:17-22

Follow the Prophet, Stand in Holy Places, Jackson County Missouri, Pure Hearts,

No much time today. But in going back over several verses 17-22 and reading the student manual 240-241, I found such interesting things. There is a quote from Orson Pratt’s teachings about how the saints will be able to return to Jackson County Missiouri and the growth that will occur from there. These quotes always get me thinking about where we should go and what we should do. And then I read what Harold B Lee said about standing in holy places: “In these days of our gerneration, many are asking: Where is safety? The word of the Lord is not silent. He has admonished us: [D&C 45:32]. The Lord has told us where these ‘holy places are:[D&C 45-68}. Where is Zion?....Thus the Lord has clearly palced the responsibility of directing the work of gathering in the hands of His diviney appointed leaders. I fevently pray that all Saints and truth seekers everywhere will attune their listening ears to those prophet-leaders….As one studies the commandments of God, it seems cystal clear that the all-important thing is not where we live, but whethr or not our hearts are pure.” (Stand Ye in Holy Places, pp 21-24)
