July 1, 2018 Section 101: 23-38 Second Coming, Patience, Endure to the End, I’ve always wondered about the Second Coming—not about whether or not it will happine, but HOW it will happen. When the scriptures talk about Christ’s coming and that the entire earth shall see Him, I wondered if that meant it would be covered on all TV’s and all computers and all cell phones. And then today, in v 23 I see things from a different angle. In v 22 the Lord tells us to stand in holy places, and then v 23 : “And prepare for the revelation which is to come, when the veil of the covering of my temple, in my tabernacle, which hideth the earth, shall be taken off, and all flesh shall see me together.” To me this is the time that the long process of all spirits coming to the earth shall have finished that phase of our education. June 29, 2018 Section 101:17-22 Follow the Prophet, Stand in Holy Places, Jackson County Missouri, Pure Hearts, No much time today. But in going back over several verses 17-22 and reading the student manual 240-241, I found such interesting things. There is a quote from Orson Pratt’s teachings about how the saints will be able to return to Jackson County Missiouri and the growth that will occur from there. These quotes always get me thinking about where we should go and what we should do. And then I read what Harold B Lee said about standing in holy places: “In these days of our gerneration, many are asking: Where is safety? The word of the Lord is not silent. He has admonished us: [D&C 45:32]. The Lord has told us where these ‘holy places are:[D&C 45-68}. Where is Zion?....Thus the Lord has clearly palced the responsibility of directing the work of gathering in the hands of His diviney appointed leaders. June 25, 2018 Section 101:23-42 Faith Live By Faith, Health Body and Spirit, Joy the Finding Of, Questions in the Gospel, V’s 26-34 tells us some of the things that will come when the Lord comes and all the earth shall see Him and ALL questions shall be answered. It is in these verses that the Lord catagorizes all the questions that will be answered. These verses prove to me that there ARE unanswerable questions for us now—and that’s okay with me—for how else would we be able to live by faith. We spend a lot of time and effort each day to feed our bodies—how much time to we devote to feeding our spirit? 36-38: “ 36…in me your joy is full. 37. Therefore, care not for the body…but care for the soul [the soul is our body AND our spirit], and for the life of the soul. 38. June 24, 2018 Section 101:17-22 Wayward Children, Pure in Heart, Lord’s Promises, Joy, Temple Sealings, Prayer, Friendships, Relationships with the Lord and with others, Draw Near Unto Him. My study starts this morning with two beautiful verses, that I hope to take literally: “ 17. Zion shall not be moved out of her place, notwithstanding her children are scattered. 18 They that remain, and are pure in heart, shall return, and come to their inheritances, they and their children, with songs of everlasting joy, to build up the waste places of Zion--“ In the deepest pockets of my heart, I hope this speaks to the eternal power of temple sealings.   And then there is v 22: “ Behold, it is my will that all they who call on my name, and worship me according to mine everlasting gospel, should gather together and stand in holy places.” That, to me, is a concise statement of what should comprise the essentials of my daily life.
